TrendPulse.AI is a cutting-edge trends and signals management tool developed as part of Innovation & Emerging Tech’s AI Toolkit at KPMG Global. Powered by GPT-4o, GPT-o3, and Machine Learning, it offers real-time access to a wide array of trend and signal sources.
Project Overview
This project was commissioned by the Global Innovation & Emerging Technology team at KPMG International as part of a global AI toolkit developed for 150+ member firms worldwide with almost 300K partners and professionals. Built with an AI-first approach, the solution leverages artificial intelligence to enhance insights and decision-making across use cases.
The engagement involved end-to-end user experience design and the creation of 100+ detailed wireframes within a 35-day delivery timeline, in close collaboration with the product owner, developers, product manager, and users, while leveraging the KPMG Global AI tools design system to ensure consistency and scalability across the solution.

Problem
KPMG professionals need a secure and efficient way to stay informed about emerging trends and signals relevant to their industries, sectors, and clients. However, due to strict confidentiality requirements, external tools cannot be used to analyze or share client-related data.
The initial MVP for TrendPulse.AI, developed as an Alpha version, hadn’t been tested with real users and needed a more intuitive experience. This led to a full redesign using an AI-first approach, aligned with the Global AI Tools Design System, to improve usability, insight generation, and scalability.
Solution
With an AI-first approach, we defined the distinct roles of AI and human interaction within the experience. The redesigned tool enables users to generate emerging trends and signals across any industry, sector, or company.
By simply entering a company name, the platform identifies real-time challenges and competitors, which users can then adjust and personalize to align with their client’s context, and then provide them with related trends and signals based on this information. The tool also allows users to create interactive charts and visualize data insights, making it easy to include them directly in presentations or share with colleagues.
